Hong Kong Part 6 of XX

It's a sale it's a REAL SALE. Seriously.
Still looking for this model in Klang Valley. I need to proof myself right that watch is definitely hell lot cheaper in HK.

I loved my new taifus
And my final purchase in Disneyland! The pictures with Mickey are really overpriced.
Happy Chinese New Year Folks! I have enough clothes till next CNY

Hong Kong Part 5 of XX

OK i'm gonna keep this short, 14 pairs of socks for HKD140, (with further 10% discount with HSBC Credit Card)
And went crazy in the Hard Rock Boutique. I really really liked the Hard Rock Headphone T.

Went rounding in HK Station and stumbled with HMV. So i got 2 magazines, Total Film & GT.
Bossini storewide discount made me crazy, and i've got few M&M's T, an overcoat (which makes everyone turned their head and think it's something wrong with me whenever i wear it in the mall back in KL), kinda like that feeling.

And i finally managed to buy something from esprit. On the 7th day. I've gone crazy and HKD1000 poorer. Can never imagine i got an esprit membercard from HK as the outcome.

But really, it's a bargain. I got a shirt, and few clothes here & there, 2 pants for HKD 299 each, (that's about RM130). I went checking the price in KL and found the pants are new arrival, selling RM229. Shit, that's RM100 savings per pants.

I'm losing track on the things i bought already.

Hong Kong Part 4 of XX

Alright let's check out my 4th day.

I'm getting bored with shopping already. Legs doesn't belong much to me anymore.

And so this time i went to Temple street, after I've finally getting the boot I've been eyeing for even in KL. 30% off on this Timberland boot. HKD 679, (that's about RM313), Timberland KL is selling it RM499!!! Shit i'm so proud.

What's in Temple street, nothing much, stalls, and people. I've got back few fridge magnets and a road plate. no joke.

Cheongsam blouse, waiting for my belly to go smaller, oh and i'm so proud of the Nazi Hat. Damn it.

And and and.. i found out some real bargain from HK, i'll talk about it in next post

Hong Kong Part 3 of XX

On the 3rd day, the shopping mood had arrived!

Stop at Shum Sui Pou station and Apliu Streets for digital stuff (mp3, phones, cameras, binoculars, photography equipments) but what i found on the street markets are much more than digital stuffs.

I've got a 1:1 scale Glock (BB bullets) at HKD 40. That's about RM18 here, and it's illegal back in KL. Woo hoo!! Oh, and coincidence, i found a cross-shoulder gun holster (oh my gawd). Selling about RM25, it also can be found in KL for RM180.

And of course something for my car, something ah lian enough :P

Next, I went in the shops of Bossini, and i found M&M's 'bedazzled' T. Goodness. And they're throwing it away for RM30.

Hong Kong Part 2 of XX

OK, so on my second day, i've done so much windows shopping, and bought 2 jackets. But that's about it.

Went to Citygate Outlets (Tung Chung Station). From Citygate Outlets, there's also cable car (Ngong Ping 360) that connects you to Big Buddha. When i was there about 12 noon, the line was about 2000 humans. That's about 3 hours of queue. So we went with BUS (45 mins duration) from terminal to the Buddha Statue. (Be warned it's windy and narrow road)

Back to Citygate Outlets, as the name says it, it's an outlets mall, Esprit, Timberland, Puma, Nike, Adidas, Giordano, Levis, Samsonite, but nothing catch my eyes. Shit, HK can't be that bad.

At night, it's Ladies Market night!

It's CNY again

hmm what u did during CNY ah?
i sleep, wake up, lie on the sofa, TV surfing, sleep, eat, shower, became chauffeur, tired, eat, drink, sleep, go home, sleep, TV surfing. And every house got the same type of cookies. I'm gonna bring mine to office next week so it wouln't last till next years'.

Astro been showing crap shows like Alan Tam (and Hacken Lee) concert. Then 2-years ago this-and-that award presentation. Free TV had better choice though this year. At least there's 1 programmed that manage to keep me from switching away.

The cinema is packed, and Ghost Rider is almost sold out in every session. Go 1-U and maybe you'll take about an hour to find a decent parking after fighting with the old unker in proton saga.

I was longing or work since the first day on CNY. I get sick when i stay too long in the confined area. Must be lack of oxygen. (and hate being a chauffeur) But now, sitting on the desk, i wanna go back to sleep. My eyes sores, my back is pain.

Today's Filler

Outdated Island Outtings during the last long-public holidays.

Some panorama from K800i. Check out the rain somewhere there in the middle.

Top Left: Cam Whoring
Top Right: Nice corners at Teluk Bahang. Now, where's my car?
Bottom Left: Birdie decided to do some cam whoring too
Bottom Right: I hope someone will roll over this & fall. It's nice when the rocks are filled with blood.

A temple in Penang, and with the amount of spotlights i got these days, i better be praying to all Gods and stop being a free-thinker. And i literrally wish the God will slap their mouth. Somehow. I wonder if they feel pain or not. Maybe not yet. He he.

Southern Visit

Filler post before i continue with the I- Survived - Bangkok - Trip.

Spent my weekend JB & 6 hours in S'pore. (6 hours including putting about 2 hours on customs & public transport)

Surprisingly something in S'pore is cheaper than JB after conversion. So.. shop wisely!!

After some endless shopping in JB, we swim over to S'pore & here's a outcome of 3 1/2 hours in Bugis alone.
1. Got myself 120 pcs of 4X6 glossy photo paper for $12.80
2. Got a Kappa sweater with my fav country embossed.

3. And ridiculous it might seen, the K800i screen protector. (well it's not available here yet)
4. Toys (hey dun think somewhere else)
5. A coin purse

6. Pocket Ashtray. Now this is something useful. I've seen Louis Koo used once and since then i've been looking for it. And i found it 4 years later.

Someone got to stop me from doing shopping till 2010!!!

And back to JB, here's some nice (but not so romantic) eating places in Permas Jaya. Masuk kampung roads (don't take your lowered car to JB, really), the restaurants are facing Singapore, above the 'river' malay type, and very nice nasi lemak (+ the attitude problem).

Nothing much to shop but i found a levi's engineered jeans. One that look like slacks. And some magical aroma stones that discard the ash smell on your ashtray. Nice!

Guide to SG, drive your car to City Sq JB and find a car park. Walk to opposite bus station. Go to the departure hall, get your passport scanned and head to the bus terminal. (as you can see 'Causeway Link' & 'SBS Transit'. Get ready your coins ( in RM) and depends on where you want to go, pay according to amt. Remember to look out for the bus number (CW1, CW2 etc) - for me i chose the nearest MRT so it's Kranji (MRT) and it's 90 cents per person.

When reaching SG customs, fill a form and walk to Mr. Kastam*. After you done the x-ray thing, now, it's time to chase the bus. If u missed it no worries, you can always wait for the next bus. Just follow the sign above those barriers to the correct bus. Tada.. you are in Singkapoh.

*somehow we met the same Mr. Kastam on our way back and he recognised us. Smiling, he said, are you the one that went to Bugis? Yeah!, and see what i bought... (showing se* toys)

Bangkok Eat & Drink V3

Abit weird that we visited HRC in Bangkok. Well we just too hungry to look for other food in Siam Square. And we desperately need to sit & relax our legs.
Oh, and it's a NON SMOKING restaurant.

The most expensive food we had. But it was ok. It was very nice in term of display & taste. So no complain.
OK no more drink liao.. next post will tell you about your route planning during your stay in BKK.

Bangkok Eat & Drink V1

7-Eleven. Available at every single corner.
The most frequent stall i visited during the trip. Beers range from 24 bht - 40 bht
Chang, Singha light, Chang Light, Leo Beer - 24 bht
Singha - 30 - 35 bht
Heineken - 38 bht
I never looked for any other beers that's higher than 30 bht price tag.
Mind you though, no beers available after midnight. So, stock up before the clock hits 12.

All stall food was stumbled upon by luck. Don't worry too much about the language barrier. Just point & order. Most of them cost between 25 - 30 bht only. Unlimited supply of chili flakes, garlic chili, prawn sauce.

Street along Phetchaburi (pronouced Phetburi), Pratunam District.
Only manage to take 2 before their closing time. Which is 9pm.

The next day, we accidentaly stumbled upon Pratunam Wholesale Market.
There's a shortcut from Petburi Soi 19 & 21 (Soi - Street/Jalan). Find all the clothes & apparel you need at wholesale price. This is the place where other the 'Chatuchak' & 'Suan Lum Night Bazaar' take their stock from. From this big market, you can see Baiyoke Tower as well.

Nearby MBK there's others like Siam Center, Siam Square (pronounce Siam Se-kue),
Siam Paragon & Siam Discovery Center (branded stuff)
Easily reachable by BTS (BTS - LRT) @ National Stadium Station / Siam Station.

In MBK, there's a very big DVD store where you can find EVERY SINGLE DVD titles. There's even a book with PRIDE color on it.

And when there's no stock / or you buy alot, they will send it to your address within 24 hours.

The DVDs pricing ain't as low as here.

Hole Free Earring: 25 bht
Toys: 60 bht

Aha. Khao San Road. A place for 'Fareng' (Quai Lows). All marked up price items. A road just like our Petaling St. Cheap motels, backpackers are all located around.
There's even a muay thai gym nearby and all i see are farengs putting RM40 for 3 hours of class. OMG. But most of the trainers do speak fair english.
And there's a airport coach station (non aircondition) located here. 100 bht per head.

(Note: -Not worth if you are not travelling alone, as you can easily get to the airport between 250 bht - MAX 400 bht, depending on your negotitation skills.)

Saturday @ Penang Island

----------
Oh i finally changed the new maintainence free battery (read: MF)
now starting up it's powderful. and there, i overspent on cars this month
----------

So, after the mice incident, we all slept like pig.

Joey

Ah b, Ah Nee & Yu Wei

after everyone finally woke up, we went for breakfast, and we had Yam Rice + Pork Balls + Intestine + Stomach.. (Mind you this is not the over-peppered Chu Chap Tong you found in KL)

We then head to jetty for ferry trip

Mind you per car is RM7.70 not RM7.00 as said by alot of people.

Lowered car are definitely not recommended to take ferry. Really. Unless u want to change your front bodykit.

Tarik brek tangan sepenuh penuhnya. If not it'll start drifting?

And we are near!

First thing is Batu Feringgi, didn't have a chance to go up there even i've been to Penang for 3 times. The ship sailed.

Take a guess on what they trying to capture with their camera phones....

it's their own sandal. Sick?

Fresh Coconut. I like

on our way turun from batu feringgi we saw. Pasar Mini muNIAMAH
I wonder the chinese go there or not

Longest flag

then we were stuck in a jam for about an hour, just to go to Bukit Bendera.
On the way we saw Toy Museum, went in to walk walk, and i'll do this in another post.

it was raining heavily, and we weren't equipped with any jackets, and there's only 1 umbrella for 6 of us. So we basically spent alot on the burger stall.

It was already dark when we head downhill, and took the highway back to mainland.
Then we head to somewhere in butterworth for duck egg char kuey teow.

Charcoal fried i tell you. The kuey teow was really good!!

Shit i'm hungry now. gonna get some snacks. Will update my Sunday trip very the soon :)
