Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

This is what happened. It's office hours, on Monday. Harry Potter frenzy. She was kinda furious when we snatch her beloved HP7 adult cover story book and read the last few pages aloud.
Well Harry married Ginny. Now it makes sense why this actress it's always in the video frame but doing nothing. Maybe it's too petty to even notice her expression whenever there's talk about Harry & Cho, the girl that he kissed.
Talking about the kissing scene, that's a bad influence towards the kids who dun really understand. How's the conservative parents explain to the kids about that scene? How does the parent answer when the 5 year old kid ask the mum "mummy what is Harry Potter doing there?"

Kill

I wanted to kill the blog. But i have so much to rant about. Well i can't keep my mouth shut for SMART is being so smart. right?

Movie Carnival 2007 ended with a bang. This time we had too much stars appearance. And too little giveaways. Not little but harder to get free stuff.

Anyway, the picture above is my new toy. With original softwares.

300

Prolly the best pre-summer blockbuster for this year. Simple but excellent costume, white cloth with leather belts. Red cape and British India style sandals.

Men with six packs, its time to make it eight.

The red cape look extremely red. Just because they don't film it infront of the green cloth set, to enchance the cape color. The score is just perfect. Nothing boring, nothing much like alexander(if anyone chose to remember that movie)

So for those who really fancy gerald butler in very very little clothes (at a point he had none), time to reserve your tickets.

Ouch!

My HDD fails. I've lost my 5 years mails accumulated during my service in the company,

I've also lost all my favourites that give me access to the internal work web page with changgih leave approval system, leave application system, giving people free tickets system, to check subscribers & members system, all the contest winners list system, and whatever else system that available. Grrr...

Also lost all the bloggers URLs too (except that those on the right hand side right now)

Talk about 'not being lazy' and goes to work when everyone is off for CNY. This is what i get huh.

It's a sign, it's a sign. And I'm still talking about work. Damn it.
OK, and finally I'm watching Ghost Rider tonight. I hope Nicolas Cage would still look good.

Hmm.. I'll start going for meetings alone this week. Die die die. Sure kantoi. And kena squeeze left right center.

Protege, Twins Mission & Dreamgirls

No worries there will be no spoilers, because i know everyone will get so bored and will flock the cinemas during CNY. So here's some must, and must-not watch movies.

Protege was good, with superb good-cast, great acting, horrified scene (which looks like a horror movie), but it was abit slow. Don't really know what happened in the end. Did he became the whole druglord, or he continues to be the undercover, tumble the whole drug industry down? And there's 2 *chopped* sex scene which reflexes quite well.

* The last scene, it looked like it was from Bishonen.

Twins Mission, sorry it's not facinating. But there's combination of action, and a lil bit of laughter, not too stupid ones though. But i hate the ending. Kinda stupid. Especially the amazon-reptiles. But i'm sure this is a must watch for Twins fans, and there's a G-cup there. The plot is soooo boring. Go check it out. (when Dreamgirls, Protege, & Ghost Rider tickets sold out). Every 4 tickets purchased in Cathay will get a note book.

Lady Iron Chef. ok zipped. go watch it yourself. Go watch in GSC and get angpow packets.

House of Mahjong. Ok just laugh. if that's all you needed. And maybe can polish up your skills with your grandpa after watching it. movies about mahjong is so outdated. To-date there's at least 6 mahjong movie from HK. Boring.

Ghost Rider. Alot of folks got dissapointed with it. I'm gonna find out why on the 26th. Whatever i said towards the Penunggang Hantu, you guys gonna watch it anyway. Right?

Dreamgirls. i think this would be an amazing one. Adapted from the musical with the same name, badly publicised, or rather i dont see any publicity at all. If you like broadway musical or stage show, this could be your next fav movie after Ray. I'm watching this tonight.

**********
There's one idiot in a new car trying to extort RM150 from my colleague after she backed into him and cause 1/2 an inch of paint chip. Not even a dent. Idiot. If it's not the 'advertised' car my colleague is driving, prolly will get him to fly kite.

2007 Calendars

OK, first, my 19inch monitor had been downgraded to a 17". My WinXP is back to Win2000. (I know there are some Vista out there but pls, i'm still in ancient age)

In result, i can't PnP my camera to the pc to dwload instantly on my topics, hence i have no mood to update hence i'm finding i work better. (Yes i actually DO work)

Hmm.. during the end of Dec, i was looking for table calendars desperately. So i found one, with kinda nice tiles & interior display kind of picture la. Then on Jan 3rd, channel [V] calendar came dropping on our laps. It's nice. Really. With the DJs high photoshopped pretty faces and the outfit sponsored by this&that fashion label. Then, woah! i saw The Curse of The Golden Cleavage Flower Calendar.

I tell you, these creative/agency are getting really creative. Either that or the 'lou sai' there is getting VERY fussy.

Gridiron Gang

Gridiron Gang. American football in jail. Enemy become buddies. Lost the game, some fights, some low morale, then win it back yadda yadda yadda. Resembles a movie starred Adam Sandler, The Longest Yard.

Only this one it's based on actual events. When the credits roll, there's short interview with some of the actual fellas.

Not something really great but looking at The Rock's face expression always make me smile.

Gridiron Gang, in cinemas 13th December 2006

Love For Share / Berbagi Suami

Indonesian Indie Film that won quite a few of awards. It's 3 short stories about poligamy. Completely Indonesian production, got lots & lots of cuts with our censorship board here (note: go watch in Singapore) due to the second story is about threesome, and the 2 wives fall in love with each other after that.

Go catch how these 3 women define their fate. Limited releases in cinemas January 2007

Night At The Museum

oh just a quick one on Cicak-Man
I remember reading back kennysia.com regarding not to combine English & Malay words on signages (or something like that)
Then what about our Cicak-Man?
----------
The other day i went for a survey screening of this coming soon movie Night At The Museum. Go watch it folks. It's not just another Ben Stiller movie. It's more than that. Prolly the history that I never even heard before.

Went i got the invitation, i heard my friend nagging, "why la in the morning 10am give free show? Give la at night wan."
And then i reply, yes you can watch at night, but first you can wait till it opens in the cinemas, then you can get your tickets by lining up half an hour at the box office to find out it's sold out.

Hello guys!! wake up. This is free stuff. And you watch it before anyone else, literally. So don't complaint.

Night At The Museum, starring Ben Stiller as the night watch, Owen Wilson as the Wild Wild West Cowboy, (which first appearance i thought this is gonna be the Shanghai Knights third installment) Steve Coogan as the roman gladiator (*cute) and of course Kim Raver (from the 24 series).

Catch the 26th president of The United States, Terracota Warrior, Columbus, The Mummy (which i think he's kinda cute too) and alot more pre-historical characters. In cinemas this Christmas!

Cicak Man

Cicak Man. I had a sinister smile when i heard the title. When we got the passes for the gala premiere, i was actually thinking twice about it.

So and then i went, Cathay was full of people. And characters. The whole setup was cool, KRU planned it well, prolly one of the best (in local) ever.
Professor Klon is now my favourite villian. His laugh, was amazing. And the best actor in it is prolly Jalaludin Hassan (Who Wants To Be A Milionaire host). Ginger boys (Matrix twins) wanna be, was.. a disaster. Maybe putting Saiful Apek was a disaster too.

Metrofulus, a city created for this, was fantastic, it's like 1950's London with cold weather and stuff. CGI classic cars, high rise but old school buildings, underground MRTs, cable cars and no such thing as handphones or gadgets. Oh and of course, there's a currency call Fulus, and the notes & coins are different. I like that.

Go catch Cicak Man. But pardon the actors (except Aznil), check out the settings of the movie, the CGI, the art direction and everything else. A truly remarkable production by the locals.

Cicak Man, in cinemas 7 December 2006

The V Post

What's with the people so crazy about this masked guy? I have no intention to even watch this thing. I'm not a comic freak, i do watch comic-turned-movies, but not this 1, really. What's the hype?

and V, Vigilante will prolly get killed here anyway.

The only thing i liked about this is probably the tagline
:: Peoples should not be afraid of their goverments. Goverment should be afraid of their peoples ::

Yeah right. at least not now. And if you guys don't know, there's a demostration going on for 2 sundays already. This is what you don't see in any dailys.
